Consuegra, P.L., a full service creditors rights firm, has been offering representation exclusively in Florida. The firm is a founding member of Default Attorney Group, and member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), the American Legal and Financial Network (ALFN), the Commercial Law League of America and other professional organizations. We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our firm. The hours for this position will be full-time Monday Friday 8am-5pm.
The Foreclosure Specialist III Team Lead is the subject matter expert regarding documents. This individual may prepare documents for motions and objections. This indivual has superior writing and oral skills. This individual has industry knowledge on all matters related to the foreclosure and bankruptcy footprint within the law firm. This individual is self-motivated and can process the foreclosure and bankruptcy action from cradle to grave along with the litigation background necessary to handle contested matters. Communication skills must be superior and this individual must be aware of Foreclosure timelines with respect to FNMA, FHLMC, VA, and FHA.
|Duties:|| Retrieve all new objections from docket as identified|
Review, research and provide required recommendations for moving forward on debtor objections or needed steps in order to correct a plaintiff name or legal
Process all Surplus Funds requests within 24 hours of case set up
Request Military and bankruptcy search within timeframes set by client
Review all delinquent taxes to ensure all amounts are accurate and are provided to cleint in a timely manner
Ability to review status of file and answer questions and provide guidance to members of the team
Ability to review tasks and other information in client systems to either complete the required task or ensure the appropriate team member is performing work timely and accurately
Review and montior reportings to ensure files are moving in a timely manner through to sale after judgment has been granted
Complete all case level event tracking daily
Ability to prepare Sale bid instructions
Ability to prepare and montior Certificate of Title through recording by Clerk
Obtain reinstatement and payoff quotes where needed for surplus funds
|Qualifications:||Paralegal Certification preferred|
Foreclosure, REO, Bankruptcy or Eviction experience 3 5 years
Title experience 3 - 5 years
Mortgage Servicing 3 5 years
Foreclosure knowledge (process and statute)
3-5 years in a default/foreclosure processing or auditing
*Experience in a production driven environment with high quality expectations
*Previous analytical, detail oriented roles
