The Law Offices of Daniel C. Consuegra, P.L., a full service creditors rights firm, has been offering representation exclusively in Florida since our founding in 1986. The firm is a founding member of Default Attorney Group, and member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), the American Legal and Financial Network (ALFN), the Commercial Law League of America and other professional organizations. We are a mid-size foreclosure firm located in East Tampa.
The Legal Assistant/FCL Specialist I handles a variety of administrative functions within the firm.
Responsibilities include data entry, general foreclosure processing with emphasis on managing files, monitoring time lines, and performing basic foreclosure functions, including complaint prep, affidavits, and completing summary judgment packages. General ability to examine title, understand impact of liens throughout the life cycle of the foreclosure.
|Duties:||ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS |
Ability to open a file referral
Identify and create supporting documentation to move the file forward.
Maintain acceptable turn times to request and follow up on documents
Ensure all documents are validated, received, executed and processed timely through internal tracking mechanisms.
Work in Client systems
Follow escalation guidelines per Client
Ensure all documents are validated, received, executed and processed timely through internal tracking mechanism in accordance to local and internal policies and guidelines.
Ability to perform a foreclosure/bankruptcy activity from referral to sale
Ability to perform a SCRA/Pacer/SSDI scrub
General title examination knowledge
Complete all case level event tracking daily
Perform DIL/Customer relations, reinstatement and payoff transactions
|Qualifications:|| Foreclosure or default mortgage servicing experience or 1 -2 years experience working in a foreclosure law firm preferred |
High School diploma, GED or equivalent required
Good oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail and deadlines
PC skills including (but not limited to) MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and Internet
Must exhibit intermediate analytical skills analyzing work outputs to government agency and department guidelines/standards
Must demonstrate intermediate ability to work with numbers to calculate timeframes and evaluate costs and losses.
Must demonstrate intermediate multi-tasking skills to handle various task and responsibilities.
Local candidates and those with legal/foreclosure law firm experience will receive first consideration.
